The song was written by the duo members Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet. “The Other Side Of Love” was released as the fourth and final single from their debut album “Upstairs at Eric’s”. The single was released in November 1982 with “Ode to Boy” on the B-side. It peaked at #11 in Ireland and #13 on the Official UK Singles chart.
