The song was written and first released by American singer Randy Newman. The UB40 version was released as the second single from their debut album “Signing Off”. It was released as a double A-side with “My Way of Thinking” in June 1980. It peaked at #6 in New Zealand and the UK.

English musician, singer-songwriter, and music and film producer George Harrison was born. He was best known as the lead guitarist of The Beatles. During the 80's he reached the top ten in numerous countries with the hit singles "All Those Years Ago" (1981), and "Got My Mind Set on You" (1987). On 29 November 2001, George Harrison died at Paul McCartney's property in Beverly Hills, LA aged 58.
