The song was written by John Waite, Mark Leonard, and Charles Sandford. “Missing You” was released as the first single from his second studio album “No Brakes”. It was released in June 1984 with “For Your Love” on the B-side. The single reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and in Canada, #6 in Ireland and #9 on the UK singles chart. The song was covered by Tina Turner in 1996.
