American singer and songwriter Stevie Nicks was born. She is best known as a songwriter and vocalist with Fleetwood Mac. In the 80's she had four top ten solo singles in the United States: "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" (with Tom Petty, 1981), "Leather and Lace" (with Don Henley, 1981), "Stand Back" (1983), and "Talk to Me" (1985).


 
1959 Wayne Hussey

English musician Wayne Hussey was born. He is best known as the lead singer of The Mission, and the guitarist with The Sisters of Mercy (1983–1985), and pop band Dead Or Alive (1981-1984).


 
1962 Black Colin Vearncombe

English singer-songwriter Black (Colin Vearncombe) was born. In 1987, he reached the top ten with "Wonderful Life", the single from his debut album of the same name. Colin died from the injuries sustained from road traffic collision at the intensive care unit of Cork University Hospital on 26 January 2016.
