The song was written by Mecano founding member, Nacho Cano. “Me cole en una fiesta” (English: “I Sneaked Into A Party”) was released as the third single from their self-titled debut album. The single was released in March 1982 with “Boda En Londres” on the B-side. The single spent seven weeks at number one on the singles chart in Spain.

1949 Eddie Money

American rock singer and songwriter, Eddie Money (Edward Joseph Mahoney) was born. During the 80's he had three number one hits on Billboard Mainstream Rock chart: "Think I'm in Love" (1982), "Take Me Home Tonight" (1986), and "The Love in Your Eyes" (1989). Eddie Money died of cancer in a Los Angeles hospital on September 13, 2019, at age 70.
