The song was written by Bob Daisley, Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads. “Crazy Train” was released as the lead single from Ozzy’s debut solo album, “Blizzard of Ozz”. The single was released in September 1980 with “You Lookin’ at Me Lookin’ at You” on the B-side. It reached #9 on Billboard Mainstream Rock chart in the United States.

American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Rick James (born James Ambrose Johnson Jr.) was born. In 1981, he topped Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the U.S. with "Super Freak". Rick James was found dead in his Los Angeles home at the Oakwood Toluca on August 6, 2004.
