It reached no. 51 on Billboard Hot 100 chart in the U.S.  It was re-released with new lyrics (“such a good time / a really good time) in 1987 and hit number 9 spot on the singles chart in Australia. A remix of the song “Oh Yeah Oh Six” became number 1 on the Billboard US dance charts in 2006.

1949 Eddie Money

American rock singer and songwriter, Eddie Money (Edward Joseph Mahoney) was born. During the 80's he had three number one hits on Billboard Mainstream Rock chart: "Think I'm in Love" (1982), "Take Me Home Tonight" (1986), and "The Love in Your Eyes" (1989). Eddie Money died of cancer in a Los Angeles hospital on September 13, 2019, at age 70.
