The song was written by Andy Caine, Jake Le Mesurier and and a founding member of Killing Joke, Martin Glover. “Fine Time” was released as the third single from Yazz’s debut album “Wanted”. It was released in March 1989 with “Dream (Juan Atkins Mix)” on the B-side. It reached #4 in Ireland and #9 in the UK.

English singer, keyboardist, songwriter Paul Humphreys was born. He is best known as a cofounder of the electronic band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. During the 80's, the band had five top 10 hit singles in the UK: "Enola Gay", "Souvenir", "Joan of Arc", "Maid of Orleans", and "Locomotion".
