1939 Dusty Springfield Reputation Album Cover

English pop singer Dusty Springfield was born. In 1990, she released  her thirteenth studio album "Reputation". The album produced four singles, including "Nothing Has Been Proved" (released February 89), and "In Private" (November 1989), both written by Pet Shop Boys members, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. Dusty Springfield died of breast cancer on March 2, 1999.

English actor and pop singe Nick Berry was born. In 1986, he topped the Official UK singles chart with his debut single "Every Loser Wins". The song was featured in the BBC soap opera "EastEnders".
