The song was written by the band lead singer, Paul King. “Alone Without You” was released as the first single from their second studio album, “Bitter Sweet” with “I Kissed the Spikey Fridge (Rock Hard Mix)” on the B-side. The single reached #8 in the UK, and #14 in New Zealand in 1985.
