The song was written by The Pretenders’ lead singer, Chrissie Hynde. “Talk of the Town” was released as the single from EP “Extended Play”. It was released with “Cuban Slide” on the B-side (“Stop Your Sobbing” in the U.S.)- The song was also included on the bamd’s second album, “Pretenders II”. The single reached #8 in the UK.
