The song was written by Romano Musumarra. “En rouge et noir” was released as the lead single from Mas’s second album “Femmes d’aujourd’hui”. The single was released in April 1986 with “Plus forte que l’océan” on the B-side. The single topped the SNEP Singles Chart in France and peaked at #23 on Eurochart Hot 100.
