The song was written by Level 42 members Mark King and Rowland Charles Gould, along with French musician Wally Badarou. “Lessons In Love” was released as the single in April 1986 with “Hot Water (Live)” on the B-side. The song is featured on the band’s 1987 Running in the Family. The single topped the singles charts in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Finland and South Africa. In the UK, it peaked at #3.
