It was recorded in 1989 for Gary’s 10th album “Still Got the Blues” (released in March 1990). “Still Got the Blues (For You)” was released as the second single from the album (one month after “Oh Pretty Woman”) and reached number 3 in Norway and #4 in Sweden. It peaked at number 9 in the Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and at #31 in the UK in May 1990. The song was covered by Eric Clapton in 2013. In 2008, German court ruled that the guitar solo on this song was plagiarized from the recording “Nordrach” by the German band Jud’s Gallers’s.
